What is 5G? | About 5G Technology

Word Enter into 5G

Without network we cannot survey the tech world. This will show the how technologies are improved

Lets, short recap of 1G-5G:

 1G : Mobile Voice Calls

2G : Mobile Voice Calls and SMS

3G : Mobile web browsing

4G : Mobile video consumption and higher data speed

5G : Technology to serve consumers and digitization of industries

What is 5G?

5G is the 5th generation of the mobile network. These network are connect with the wireless technologies. It is a new globally standard after 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G. This gen is totally changing the world. It has the high speed of the data when we download or share the video and images. It has less time to take the process. It has the high bandwidth. It has the dense connections to access.  It is the most robust technology the world has ever seen.

History of 5G

On December 1, 2018, South Korea became the first country to offer 5G (the fifth generation mobile wirless standard). It is fair to say that the mobile industry has made breathtaking advances since the first mobile phone call was made back in 1973.

Why 5G?

In the competitive world, every company grows fastly. So, everyone needs speed to complete the process in the short time. In this 5G, speed is high with less time taken. Everyone goes with the 5G.
4G has the 400 megabits per seconds. But 5G has the 1000 megabits per seconds.

What are the 5G connection devices?

In compare to the 4G, 5G has the dense connections to access. In this 5G, the accessible devices are

1. IoT devices                                                              2. Cloud Data Center

3. Autonomous Vehicles                                                4. AR/VR Experiences

5. Laptop, Smart Phone & Wearable                              6. Medical Devices

7. Smart Home and City                                                   8. Utilities and Infrastructure

Advantages of 5G?
  • Greater speed in the transmission
  • Low latency
  • Greater number of devices are connected
  • Greater capacity of remote execution
  • Higher Bandwidth
  • Possibility of implementing virtual networks
  • More effective and efficient
Disadvantages of 5G?
  • Still it under process and research is going on.
  • Many of the old devices are competent with 5G. All are go with new one.
  • Developing infrastructure cost is high.
  • Security and privacy issues yet to be solved.
  • The frequency from the 5G, is very harmful to the living things. Especially for the birds.
